Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Sternwheel Labs LLC (“Sternwheel Labs,” “we,” “us”) handles information in connection with our website at sternwheellabs.com (the “Site”) and when you contact us. We’ve tried to keep it short and plain.

What we collect

Information you send us. If you email us or fill out a form on the Site, we receive your email address and whatever else you provide, such as your name, company, and message. We use it to respond to you, keep a record of the conversation, and manage our relationship with you.

Technical information. Like nearly every website, the Site is delivered by third-party providers whose servers automatically receive standard request data — such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time of the request — when you load a page.

Analytics and advertising data. We may use third-party analytics, marketing, and advertising partners, such as Google Analytics, Google Ads, HubSpot, and Vercel Analytics, to understand how visitors use the Site and to market Sternwheel Labs to you. When enabled, these tools collect information like the pages you view, how you arrived at the Site, your approximate location, device and browser details, and identifiers stored in cookies.

Cookies, analytics, and remarketing

Our analytics, marketing, and advertising partners may set cookies or use similar technologies on the Site. We use them to measure traffic and, through remarketing, to show you ads for Sternwheel Labs on other websites and apps after you’ve visited the Site. If you’ve given us your email address, our marketing tools may connect your visits to the Site with your contact record so we can follow up in a relevant way. Marketing email. If you give us your email address, we may send you occasional updates about Sternwheel Labs. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to stop at any time.

Third-party services

We rely on a small number of service providers that process information on our behalf or under their own privacy policies:

  • Hosting providers, such as GitHub Pages and Vercel, which serve the Site and may log visitor IP addresses for security and operational purposes.
  • Analytics and advertising partners, such as Google Analytics, Google Ads, and Vercel Analytics, as described above.
  • HubSpot, which we may use to manage contacts, forms, and marketing email, and to understand how known contacts engage with the Site. See the HubSpot Privacy Policy.
  • Google Forms and Google Sheets, which receive and store what you submit through the contact form on the Site: your email address, the reason you’re getting in touch, and anything optional you add, such as your name, company, role, and a message. We use it to respond to you and, for early access, to run our waitlist. We keep it as described under “Retention,” and you can ask us to delete it at any time by emailing hello@sternwheellabs.com.   • Google Fonts serves the typefaces used on the Site, which means your browser requests font files from Google. See the Google Fonts privacy FAQ.

We also use an email provider to send and receive mail at sternwheellabs.com addresses.

How we use and share information

We use the information described above to operate the Site, respond to you, and protect the Site and our business. We use analytics and advertising data to understand how the Site performs and to market our own products and services to you. We never sell your personal information, and we never give it to other companies for their own marketing. We share information only with service providers and analytics and advertising partners acting on our behalf, when required by law or to protect our rights, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case this policy will continue to apply to the information transferred.

Retention

We keep correspondence and contact records for as long as we have a business relationship or they remain useful for the purpose they were collected, or as needed to meet legal obligations, and then delete them. Analytics and advertising data is kept according to our partners’ retention settings.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you, to object to or limit certain processing, and to opt out of targeted advertising (which some state laws call “sharing”). To make a request, email hello@sternwheellabs.com. We’ll respond within the time required by applicable law and won’t treat you differently for exercising your rights.

Where we operate

Sternwheel Labs is based in and serves customers in the United States. Information we collect is processed and stored in the United States.

Children

The Site is intended for business audiences and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Changes

If we change this policy, we’ll post the updated version here and revise the effective date above. When we launch products or services, they may come with their own privacy terms.
